Woodend Soccer Club provides a fun and safe team environment for all genders, Mini-Roos to Junior.
Soccer enables kids of all abilities to excel in a competitive sport, whilst driving fitness and creating lifelong friendships. Our Mini-Roos program introduces football to young kids in a fun way, whilst our junior program offers the older kids a smooth skills transition into more competitive play.
Our club prides itself on offering a fully inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, no matter what level of experience, to thrive and make life long friends.

Michael Owen
Michael Owen is a legend of the game! He was the youngest player to score 100 premiership goals and the 2001 Ballon D’or world player of the year. Owen played for Liverpool, Manchester Untied, Newcastle, Real Madrid and Stoke City as well as England. One his greatest goals was against Argentina in the 1998 World Cup.
Sir Geoff Hirst
Sir Geoff Hurst, born on December 8, 1941, is an English former footballer who made history as the first player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final. Hurst achieved this feat during England’s 4-2 victory over West Germany in the 1966 FIFA World Cup final at Wembley. His remarkable achievement made him a household name, and with the passing of Sir Bobby Charlton in 2023, Hurst became the last surviving member of the team that won England’s only World Cup. Hurst also had a successful club career, notably with West Ham United, where he helped the team win the FA Cup in 1964 and the European Cup Winners’ Cup in 1965.
Steph Catley
With over 130 international appearances, she is the sixth-most capped player in Australia’s history. She was twice named PFA Women’s Player of the Year, and was named the W-League’s Young Player of the Year for the 2012–13 season
Chris Waddle
Internationally, Waddle represented England 62 times between 1985 and 1991, scoring six goals, and featured in three major tournaments: the 1986 FIFA World Cup (reaching the quarter-finals), UEFA Euro 1988, and the 1990 FIFA World Cup, where England advanced to the semi-finals before losing on penalties to West Germany. His performances, particularly at Italia ’90, cemented his status as one of England’s most celebrated wingers of his generation, earning him the Football Writers’ Association Footballer of the Year award in 1993.
